According to the information received by the officers of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team of the Jayawardenepura camp of the Special Task Force, it is reported that the Police Special Task Force arrested 6 people who were kidnapping a woman and a man.
Two persons working in a financial institution in the Dematagoda area have been abducted. It is said that among the suspects who carried out the kidnapping, the girlfriend of one of the suspects complained to the Dematagoda Police that the couple had threatened them for defaulting on the money invested in the financial institution and then left.
A male resident of Makola South, Makola and another woman have been abducted.
The six suspects who carried out the kidnapping are between 22 and 28 years of age residing in Colombo 09 and 10 areas and it is said that the police special task force has also taken into custody a three-wheeler and a motorcycle used for the kidnapping.
Further investigations regarding the incident will be carried out by the Dematagoda Police Station.
