It is reported that Mr. Vijitha Herath, the Gampaha District Member of the National People’s Power, said in the Parliament that Jaya and the Central Bank should jointly prepare a relief program to build the tourism sector, and that the tourism sector has collapsed due to the inability to pay the high bank interest.
He also mentioned that the country does not have a national tourism policy and developing the tourism industry does not mean opening a hotel and holding a speech there.
Mr. Vijitha Herath, Gampaha District Councilor of the National People’s Force, said that the reason for the downfall of the tourism industry is the rulers of the country.
