The police stated that 2,121 suspects were arrested during the special operations conducted throughout the island during the last 24 hours.
Police Media Spokesman, Senior DIG Nihal Talduwa has also stated that investigations are being conducted on the detention orders regarding 12 suspects from that group.
Also, asset investigations have been started in relation to 5 suspects and 133 people have been referred for rehabilitation, the police have also mentioned.
Police say that 116 suspects who were on the list of registered suspects of the Police Narcotics Bureau and the Special Bureau were also arrested here.
