Needless to say, under the current unfortunate situation in the country, even the government institutions are putting pressure on the common people. Different government agencies use different tactics to strangle common people and so do businessmen. One of the main reasons for this extraordinary decline in Sri Lanka is the corrupt public service and the corrupt business class.
The reason we are writing this is because the term ticket issued by the Gampola Traffic Division’s depot for school children this time states that “School term tickets can only be used in school uniforms”. But we do not report this kind of situation in Kandy district or other districts. However, it has been reported to us that this depot has not worked in this manner in the previous months.
However, we made a call to the Gampola Bus Depot of the Sri Lanka Traffic Board to inquire about this, but the number did not work.
Maybe that’s the law. But the implementation of something that has not been implemented until now happens when the people do not have food or drink. It shows the incompetence, corruption, and inability of the Ceylon Transportation Board, which is a burden to the country and has more than 20 employees per bus, to cover up the situation by doing inferior work?.
The current generation or parents should not be held responsible for the recruitments made by various political parties from time to time without any planning. If the public service still breaks the necks of the people after losing their bread and livelihood, then the oppression will also be on their own shoulders.
