An owner of a house in Jaffna, Chavakachcheri, Manduvil area has tied the gold articles in a piece of old cloth and hid them in a garbage place in the house to protect them from thieves. But the residents have also thrown the old piece of cloth on which the relevant gold items were tied without attention on the last 20th.
Later, he remembered about it and found information about the tractor that took the garbage to the house during CCTV inspection. Accordingly, the residents have informed the municipal sanitation workers about the incident. At that time, the sanitation workers who came into action immediately brought the garbage from the relevant place, checked the place where the garbage was dumped and found the piece of cloth with which the gold items were tied.
It has been possible to find 8 pounds worth of gold items tied to the piece of cloth in question and sanitation workers of the municipality have worked to return the relevant gold items to the owner.
