It is reported that an unidentified male body was found near the Sinhapura bathing well in Wellampitiya.
It is stated that the Wellampita Police have started investigations on the information received by the 119 Information Center yesterday afternoon (04).
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed and the police have stated that the deceased person is between the ages of 50 and 55 years old, about 05 feet 03 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a white striped sleeved shirt and a mixed color saree on a purple background.
After conducting the post-mortem, the body has been deposited in the Colombo National Hospital mortuary and the Wellampitiya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
