It is reported that a fire has broken out in a row of estate houses in Mapagala section of Uriwatta area, Badulla.
The police have stated that 07 rooms have been destroyed in the fire that broke out last night (25).
The fire has been extinguished with the help of the police, Badulla Municipal Council’s fire department and local residents.
Initial investigations have revealed that the fire was caused by an electrical leak.
According to the police, around 50 people residing in 09 estate houses have been displaced due to the fire.
