It is reported that a Kenyan national was arrested at the Katunayake International Airport after bringing 4 kilograms of cocaine worth over 30 million rupees to Sri Lanka.
Customs Media Spokesperson, Director of Customs Mr. Sivali Aruggoda said that the 34-year-old Kenyan national was taken into custody by the Customs Narcotics Control Division from a flight that arrived at Katunayake Airport from Doha yesterday afternoon, and this cocaine was found packed in 3 tins of biscuits.
It is stated that the suspect has arrived in Sri Lanka from Addis Ababa Airport in Ethiopia via Doha Airport in Qatar and the suspect and the drug stock will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.
