It is reported that a fire broke out in a four-storied building located in Anuradhapura Market Place and due to the prevailing weather, the fire spread rapidly and the fire that started in one of the shops in that building spread to several other shops nearby.
It is said that the officers of the Anuradhapura Municipal Council’s fire department worked hard to control the fire.
