A 21-year-old resident of Padukka has gone missing.
According to reports, one of the three youths who were running away after cutting a banana cane from a land in Halkandawatta area has drowned and disappeared.
There, while the villagers were chasing these three, two of them tried to jump into the Pusali Oya flowing through the Halkadawatta area and try to swim. It has been revealed that one of them has drowned and disappeared due to the fact that the water level of the stream had already increased.
The other two persons were caught by the local residents and handed over to the police. During the interrogation, it was revealed that they had stolen a can of bananas to buy tickets for a music concert.
The Police Naval Division started an operation to find the body of the missing youth, but so far the body of the missing youth has not been found.
