It is reported that the Pallewela Police raided a place where firearms are being manufactured and arrested two suspects yesterday afternoon (29) based on information that firearms were being manufactured in a house in the Kaleliya area of the Pallewela Police Domain.
There, 2 mechanical parts of firearms manufactured in this country, an air rifle, a pipe used for the manufacture of weapons, 2 kg of lead blocks, a drill machine and 5 knives of different sizes were also taken into police custody along with the suspects.
The arrested suspects are 32 and 62 years old resident of Kal Eliya area.
The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Attanagalla Magistrate’s Court today (30).
