It is reported that while cleaning a well in a house in Paranthan area of Kilinochchi, a large quantity of mortar shells and explosives have been found this morning (20).
The Kilinochchi Police have stated that this stock of explosives was found while cleaning the well on the 18th and the residents did not inform anyone about it.
However, based on an intelligence received from the army, the relevant explosives were found during an inspection conducted together with the police.
Among this stock of explosives, there were a large amount of ammunition used for T.56 firearms, five 60mm type mortar bullets, electric detonators, eleven magazines of T56 firearms, several ammunition containers and several electronic equipment parts including computer hard disks and computer parts.
