It is reported that the Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has said that there is no hope of introducing indirect taxes or raising tax rates in the future.
Speaking to the media in Kegalle, the Minister of State for Finance said that he hopes to increase the state’s revenue.
The Minister of State for Finance has said here that the price of goods will not increase due to indirect taxes and the price of goods will be determined based on the supply and demand of the goods.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has said that a new property tax is expected to be introduced in 2025.
The Minister of State for Finance has mentioned here that the property tax is a direct tax and the tax is a specific amount charged from those who have high property.
