Yesterday (20th) at around 7pm, a drunk and naked person carrying an iron rod damaged the house of Mr. Vithanage Sirisoma, the former chairman of the Horana Municipal Council.
The attack damaged several items in the house and the gate. Also, the house owners have stated that the person who came to attack brutally attacked the pet dog of the house.
According to reports, the person who came to attack has been employed by the former mayor in a job in the city council and has behaved in this way as a revenge based on an incident that occurred there. It is said that a bystander had recorded the person in question walking naked on the road with a mobile phone.
The suspect was arrested by the Horana Police immediately after learning about the incident and he is scheduled to be produced before the Horana Magistrate’s Court today (21).
