It has been revealed that the oil corporation is working to disembark a crude oil ship which was banned from entering Sri Lanka by the Attorney General in December next year and Volitan DMCC. It is reported that this contract was given to a company named on July 28.
It is said that this ship is preparing to return to Sri Lanka after changing its name and country of registration even though the Attorney General has prohibited it from coming to Sri Lanka. It is said that this ship carrying crude oil had left for Sri Lanka last June under the name ‘BULL DAMAI 1’.
The ship was registered with IMO, which registers international ships. It is reported that the ship was registered under the number 9248849 and its name was changed to ‘SWORDFISH’ to land in Sri Lanka in December.
Also, the vessel in question is currently registered under the flag of Indonesia, and the unordered crude oil vessel had previously arrived in Sri Lanka, and the Attorney General of Sri Lanka has refused to allow it to enter Sri Lanka, pointing out that the transaction is illegal.
A supplier who supplies crude oil to Sri Lanka on a large scale amid political support is behind this deal, this ship was supposed to leave Russia and reach Sri Lanka on the 20th, and with the decision of the Attorney General, the ship in question has been floating in international waters until now, and this crude oil ship is going to be bought suddenly. It is also reported that the work of the oil refinery has been crippled by a Russian crude oil ship bought earlier.
Also, Voliton DMCC, which has been presented for this ship. It is stated that the said supplier is not a registered supplier in this country and the said company has not been cleared by the embassy.
