The President of the Electricity Users’ Association, M.D., said that the increase in electricity tariffs shows the inefficiency of the Electricity Board, and that the people will be in dire straits by increasing the electricity tariffs arbitrarily. It is reported that Mr. R. Atula said.
He has also mentioned that since it is raining heavily, more hydroelectricity can be produced so that the relief should be given to the people.
And he further said that the electricity produced using hydropower and fuel should be properly managed, and without doing so, this act of increasing the electricity bill is very ridiculous.
