Today (27th) in the afternoon in Panadura area, it is reported that a father and son couple got together and attacked a person’s hands with a sharp weapon after a dispute related to a pigeon went too far.
A 52-year-old man named Nimalsiri of Gal Wattagegedara in Panadura Pahangama area has caught a pigeon of a person named Anura Jayalath and when he went to his house to claim the pigeon, the 54-year-old man named Anura Jayalath was attacked with a manna knife.
Nimalsiri and his son, 27-year-old Nadun Madhushanka, were also involved in the attack.
Later, the local residents took the person to the hospital with serious cuts
It is said that the person who was admitted to Panadura Hospital was later transferred to Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.
Panadura South Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
