It is reported that the flood warning notices issued for several rivers have been extended for the next 24 hours.
Accordingly, the Irrigation Department has issued a notice to the people of Nilwala, Ging and Attanagalu Oya to take care.
The Irrigation Department has informed the people living near the respective rivers and the drivers traveling on the roads and by-passes through those areas to be more careful and it is also reported that there has been some decrease in the rain condition in the last 24 hours.
It is also mentioned that the water flow of the Kelani River continues and some places of the Kelani River in the lower area of Avissawella have overflowed.
