It is reported that a person who worked as a technical assistant in the mortuary at Homagama Basic Hospital for 26 years has died after ingesting a germ that was excreted from the corpses.
A 55-year-old person named Jayalal Liyanarachchi, a resident of Meegoda area, has died.
It is said that his body was taken to Homagama Base Hospital yesterday (25) afternoon, where the health staff including doctors, nurses and minor workers paid their last respects to the body.
