It is reported that opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa made a statement today (20) at the beginning of the parliamentary proceedings that all surgeries at Hambantota General Hospital have stopped due to the absence of an anesthesiologist.
The opposition leader stated that the people of the area are in dire straits due to this problem and today they have to go to Matara and Galle for surgery.
Also, Mr. Sajith Premadasa further commented that the anesthetist of Hambantota Hospital has gone abroad without his knowledge and because of this all the surgeries in the hospital have stopped. .
