It is reported that the husband shot and killed his wife due to a family dispute last night (07) and he also shot and killed himself.
During the investigation carried out on the basis of information received by the Nuwara Eliya Police Station that a couple in the Toppas area of the Nuwara Eliya Police Domain had been shot dead in their house yesterday night (07), it was revealed that the husband had done the shooting with a locally made firearm.
It is reported that the dead man is 28 years old and the dead woman is 26 years old Toppas, a married couple residing in Nuwara Eliya area.
The Nuwara Eliya Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
