It is reported that teachers and principals across the country are protesting today (30) based on several demands.
The General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Service Association, Mr. Mahinda Jayasinghe stated that the teachers and principals will be protesting in other provinces except the Western Province this afternoon (30) so that the education activities of the school students will not be disturbed.
It is stated that the teacher principals are engaged in the agitation due to the lack of proper solutions despite discussions with the minister in charge of the education sector.
Also, the General Secretary of Ceylon Teachers Union, Joseph Stalin, stated that his members will also join the protests.
