It is reported that a 60-year-old principal was arrested yesterday (17) in Minuwangoda area on charges of sexually assaulting a female teacher.
It is reported that it was a 22-year-old young teacher who worked in a private school in that area.
Although the school was not held yesterday, the principal told this teacher to come to the school for a special work. It is said that after saying that, the teacher was brought in in the evening and sexually assaulted.
Later, the teacher reported the incident to the Minuwangoda Police’s Children and Women’s Bureau and the Minuwangoda Police arrested the suspected principal.
Minuwangoda Police is conducting further investigations.
