Inspector General of Police C.D. Sources at the Police Headquarters say that Mr. Wickramaratne has removed all belongings from the office of the Inspector General of Police due to his retirement from the 26th of last year.
A senior officer of the police headquarters said that all the items except the furniture in the official room have been removed since the 27th.
Sources at the Police Headquarters also say that the Inspector General of Police has not come to his office since the 26th and the administrative activities of the Police Department have been hampered due to the absence of an Inspector General of Police to approve any documents and give instructions for duties and responsibilities.
