It is reported that the price of a bucket of buffalo milk has increased to 500 rupees.
President of the National Consumer Front, Mr. Asela Sampath, while attending a press conference held in Colombo yesterday (29), stated that the price of buffalo milk has increased due to the middlemen getting more profit in the production of buffalo milk.
In the areas where buffalo milk is produced, a bucket of buffalo milk is sold at a price between 200 and 240 rupees, while the buffalo milk producers say that traders buy their products at a very low price and sell them at very high prices in Colombo and other areas.
