It is reported that three double caramel cassowary birds were brought from Thailand to Katunayake Airport last night (05) for the Dehiwala Zoo under the animal exchange program between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Two 9-month-old male cassowary birds and one chick have been brought in. They are very beautiful, but they are said to be unable to fly.
It is also reported that these birds grow to a height of about 5 feet and a weight of about 60 kilograms.
Also, under the animal exchange program between Thailand and Sri Lanka, it is said that some species of monkeys, black monkeys, wild chickens, monkeys and snakes will be sent from Sri Lanka to Thailand.
