It is reported that a large wall belonging to a tourist hotel in Parawa Street, Galle Fort, collapsed in the early hours of today (01) with the heavy rains that fell last night (31), causing serious damage to two three-wheelers parked there.
In this regard, the local residents have informed the Archaeological Department, Galle Urumaya Foundation, Galle Municipal Council and the Urban Development Authority about the insecurity here.
Local residents further mentioned that students of Galle Southland, All Saints College as well as foreign tourists and local residents travel on this road daily and a major accident was avoided due to the collapse of the wall in the morning.
