It is reported that the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (19) ordered the release of former state minister Mrs. Vijayakala Maheswaran who was released on bail on the advice of the Attorney General.
This complaint was called before Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alvis today (19).
Former state minister Mrs. Vijayakala Maheswaran had earlier been granted bail in connection with an incident in which she allegedly made a statement that the LTTE should be re-established in 2018.
Earlier, the police had informed the court that the Attorney General had advised that there were not enough facts to proceed with the case against the suspect.
