The National Construction Association of Sri Lanka stated that there is an amount of about 2,000 crore rupees in the treasury to be paid for constructions across the country.
Sri Lanka National Construction Association President Mr. Susantha Liyanarachchi said this while attending a press conference held in Colombo.
He further points out that the Treasury has declared that it is not possible to pay an amount of 8,000 crores for the construction of the Ministry of Highways.
He has further pointed out that in the import of raw materials required for construction, a fraudulent business is being operated by giving the opportunity to import surplus raw materials instead of scarce raw materials.
