The Bureau of Foreign Employment stated that several new agreements have been reached this year to expand the existing foreign employment opportunities for Sri Lankan workers.
A spokesman for the Bureau of Foreign Employment said the new job opportunities included jobs in Japan and Israel.
It is also mandatory to register with the Bureau of Foreign Employment when going abroad for employment, the Bureau said.
Its Media Spokesperson Mangala Randeniya further stated that the Bureau of Foreign Employment’s ability to act in the event of any inconvenience caused by going abroad without such registration will be limited.
