Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa states that the government is committed to making Sri Lanka a global maritime sustainability hub in the region.
The Prime Minister pointed out that as a valuable island nation surrounded by the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka has a great responsibility to respect the ocean as well as its people and to protect the Indian Ocean.
The Prime Minister made this remark while delivering the keynote address at the Asia Pacific Regional Ocean Summit organized by The Economist Group via online video technology yesterday (07).
