The Public Health Inspectors Association says that with the increase in the number of daily Covid infections reported in the country, there is an increase in the number of hospitalized infections.
The association also points out that the capacity of the hospital is being exceeded due to the fact that the Covid wards reserved for Covid patients are now being provided for the general patients in many hospitals.
Also, the President of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association Upul Rohana stated that although the number of infected people is reported to be around 2000 daily, it is not being reported through the media.
