The Kandy Land Registration Office, which has been operating in the same location for 35 years, will be relocated to two locations, said the President of the Upcountry People’s Rights Protection Association, Prof. Asanga Tilakaratne.
He says that the people will be severely inconvenienced by being taken to such two places and it will not be of any benefit to the people and the people will have to spend another Rs. 5,000.
There are two Registrars in the Land Registration Office,The government will have to pay a rent for setting up this unit in two places for their enjoyment,He further states that after such an establishment, the people will blame the government led by the President, but those things are done by government officials.
