People’s Bank has decided to pay $ 6.9 million to the company that owned the Chinese fertilizer ship, which caused controversy in the recent past.
The relevant amount is to be paid by the People’s Bank to the company today (07).
The People’s Bank stated that it had decided to pay the amount to the company that owns the ship due to the lifting of the enjoining order imposed by the Colombo Commercial High Court.
Although the fertilizer ship was not taken over by Sri Lanka, it has been submitted to the court that an agreement has been reached between the two parties to return the quality fertilizer.
Accordingly, the money is to be paid to the relevant company through the People’s Bank.
