The Sapugaskanda oil refinery complex will be closed again from tomorrow (03).
The Minister of Energy has stated that the closure will cause difficulties in purchasing crude oil in the face of the foreign exchange crisis and that even if the oil refinery is temporarily closed, there will be no fuel shortage in the country.
Addressing a media briefing in Colombo, Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila stated that the refinery, which will be closed from tomorrow (03), could be reopened by the end of this month.
