Yesterday (14th) there was an accident due to the heavy rain that fell on a two-storey house in Warakapola, Tumbaliyadda area.
There, the 47-year-old mother and 24-year-old son went missing and the father, who was trapped in the debris, was rescued at around 4.30 pm yesterday and admitted to the Warakapola hospital. Hospital sources have stated that he suffered a broken bone.
However, the bodies of the missing mother and son have also been found.
There was another small child in the house and he was attending a scholarship class at the time of the accident.
