A number of corrupt practices of the Udawalawa Police Station Officer were uncovered with our evidence. We have also uncovered a destruction that was done in collaboration with a monk who was given to government lands and quarries by setting up fraudulent lease agreements for the lands of the area, destroying Buddhism. Apart from that, we have also uncovered the corrupt actions done together with the political powers. But it seems to us that the Sri Lanka Police Department has not taken any action against those crimes.
Causing a public disturbance at Sankhapala Quarry, building a communication tower at Panahaduwa Ranmini Kotha Old Veher, not presenting gems taken from a treasure to the court (required evidence is being collected in this regard and has not yet been confirmed. The gems were shared with an Assistant Superintendent of Police and rocks were exchanged with the suspects presented). A lot of mistakes have been made like allowing illegal activities, aiding and abetting mistakes, but no fair investigation has been done against the station commander. If he had done so, he should have been fired from the police department by now.
Bringing up his illegal activities again, provoking a huge crowd, two young men of Sankhapala Galbokkaya have been arrested and remanded in custody. They have taken up arms as a protest against the destruction of the mountain range where they live in order to get the raw materials needed for the Hambantota Cement Factory in Sri Lanka, causing strong public displeasure. But the station commander has done this process suppressing all the old incidents. As a result, representatives of nearly a thousand environmental organizations in Sri Lanka are preparing to hold a massive protest again in Sankhapala area.
Sri Lanka has not been written to them to betray and destroy the country by bribery, fraud, corruption or malpractice to Udawalawa police station chief or political authority. A complaint has been lodged against the damage done to the old temple of Ranmini Kotha in the Udawalawa police station. But no action has been taken against the responsible government officials, the government officials who have prepared forged documents and the administrator of fraudulent documents. He is also the one who supports the land robbery in Sankhapala Galbokkaya.
