Veteran teledrama and stage actor Sampath Tennakoon has passed away.
He has been ill for some time.
He was 62 years old at the time of his death and has acted in more than 50 stage plays in his lifetime.
According to his family members, his last rites will be performed within 24 hours at his personal request.
