Five Acts passed and debated in Parliament recently have come into force.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday (17) recorded his affidavit for the relevant five Bills with effect from those Bills.
Debates on the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment), Prohibition of Anti-Personnel Mines, Judicial Organizations (Amendment), Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment), Provincial Councils (Transfer of Stamp Duty) (Amendment) were held in Parliament on 09th and 10th. And passed.
Accordingly, these Acts are the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Act No. 2 of 2022, the Anti-Personnel Mines Act No. 3 of 2022, the Judicial Organizations (Amendment) Act No. 4 of 2022, the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) No. 5 of 2022 and The Provincial Councils (Stamp Duty Transfer) (Amendment) Act No. 6 of 2022 comes into force from yesterday (17).
