Although the life of the people throughout Sri Lanka is now returning to normal, they are living under some economic pressure as the prices of goods rise. However, the Kovid virus is now on the rise again in Sri Lanka. It was also reported today that there is an increase in the number of children developing the omicron virus.
This was revealed by Channa de Silva, Secretary of the Institute of Pediatricians, Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, Colombo. He pointed out that the number of Covid infected children encountered in the past was increasing day by day.
It was emphasized that the main reason for this is that with the return of the country to normalcy, the migration of many people has also contributed to this.
It was pointed out that many people are avoiding vaccination due to various misconceptions in the society and if that situation continues in the future, the country could face a severe crisis.
Ravana Note
The reason for the spread of various misconceptions about vaccination in society is that different Western doctors have issued different statements. The current gas crisis, the electricity crisis, the fuel crisis, the agrochemical crisis including fertilizers as well as the crisis over the rise in prices of other essential commodities including rice, as well as various other crises have been raised by the officials working in those sectors. Different people in the same field socialized different issues on issues that existed in the same field. Similarly, various Western doctors have issued various statements on different occasions regarding this vaccine and its subsequent side effects. People with various side effects can also be seen in the society.
Also, in the recent past, there have been media reports about the effectiveness of these vaccines. They were also the statements of experts. Although Sri Lankan media outlets are not aware of what is happening around the world, a large number of citizens are paying close attention to events around the world on the Internet. Through it they find what they want.
Therefore, the people of this country are now becoming aware of how many things are happening. That’s it. Also, as experts in the same field, all people must be ignorant in order not to look at the suspicion that different people present by presenting different information.
Therefore, there is no point in blaming the people for the problems caused by these divergent views created by the authorities in all spheres. The relevant authorities are responsible for that. Whatever the government, there are plenty of authorities in the country who oppose that government. However, while it is not a shame for those officials to make various statements from time to time, like some Sri Lankan politicians and government officials, the Punchi appu in the village is well aware of what is going on in the cold room.
