It is reported that the Ministry of Agriculture announced that the United States Agency for International Development provided 36,000 metric tons of mud fertilizer to Sri Lanka and 27,000 metric tons of that amount of fertilizer has been distributed so far.
The Ceylon Fertilizer Company stated that it hopes to finish distributing the 21,000 metric tons of fertilizer from the given stock of fertilizer by next Wednesday.
Also, 14,000 metric tons of the 15,000 metric tons of mud fertilizer to be distributed by the Commercial Fertilizer Company has already been distributed and the remaining amount will be distributed tomorrow (25), the company said.
It is reported that these two companies gave the daily report regarding the distribution of mud fertilizer to the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera today (24) in the morning.
