It is reported that 3,465 cases of suspected dengue have been reported in the Colombo Municipal Council area, according to its Chief Medical Officer Ruwan Wijayamuni.
He also mentioned that there is a possibility of this situation developing with the current monsoon rains.
He who commented further,
“There are currently 3,465 suspected dengue cases reported in the city of Colombo. About 80% of them have been confirmed to be dengue. We know that it may increase in December. We are seeing irregular monsoon activation once again. We can see only 7.1 positive containers in homes, and the highest amount is about 60% in government institutions, and about 80% in construction sites. According to these, we have been able to control a lot.”
