It is reported that 4 other people were arrested yesterday (13) on the charges of providing necessary facilities and care to Ravidu Varnarangana alias Buru Muna, a member of an organized crime gang, who was arrested while arriving at Katunayake airport to go abroad.
They are aged 38 and 43 and are residents of Katuwellegama, Negombo and Minuwangoda areas and both the cars given to the suspect to escape have been taken into custody by the police and earlier also 3 people were arrested along with two suspected owners on the charges of rescuing Buru Muna from the police. It is reported that he will be remanded until the 24th.
