It is reported that the Auditor General’s Department has said that there are vacancies in about 400 audit officer posts.
Auditor General W. P. C. Wickramaratne mentioned that due to this, audit services have to be done with maximum management.
Meanwhile, he has also stated that the recruitment of suitable candidates for the positions of audit officers will be done promptly.
Accordingly, it is stated that applications are to be invited from qualified graduates who are currently in government service.
He has also stated that the gazette announcement will be issued soon.
