In Jaffna, it is reported that a boat that was carrying a load of concrete blocks to Analativ Island has partially sunk in the sea.
The boat in question started sinking in the sea while carrying concrete blocks from a temple located in Urkavathurai area of Jaffna to Analativ Island. At that time, a panicked person got injured while trying to swim from the boat and the navy and the fishing vessels that went to save the boat have taken the injured person to the hospital.
It is said that by transporting these concrete blocks with a weight greater than the capacity of the boat, the boat has sunk.
