Foreign media have reported that 17 people have lost their lives when a bridge that was being built collapsed at a place in Mizoram, India.
The foreign media has further mentioned that it is suspected that another group of people are trapped in the debris, and rescue operations have started, and that between 35 and 40 workers were present at the site at the time of the accident.
Commenting on this matter, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that 2 lakh Indian rupees will be given to the dead and 50,000 Indian rupees to the injured.
