It is reported that the customs officials have found 1 kg 98 grams of hashish drug worth 16,470,000 rupees in a container containing passengers’ luggage imported to Sri Lanka.
Mr. Sivali Arukgoda, Director of Customs, stated that the drug was found in a suitcase that had arrived in Sri Lanka from Belgium.
It is reported that the consignment of drugs in the suitcase sent to an address in Wennappuwa area is to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
