It is reported that the Kuliapitiya Divisional Criminal Investigation Division has arrested an office assistant working in the court in connection with an incident of theft of 54 gas cylinders from the case goods room of the Kuliapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
Last April, the registrar of the court submitted a complaint to the Kuliapitiya Police that 54 gas cylinders were missing from the courtroom of the Magistrate’s Court and after an investigation, the suspect was arrested yesterday (28).
The arrested suspect is a 44-year-old resident of Yakdalgodawatta area and it is said that he is going to be produced before the Kuliapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
