Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Health, said that within the next few months, steps will be taken to completely stop emergency drug purchases, and measures will be taken to make emergency purchases only with the aim of meeting the country’s drug needs.
It is reported that he made the announcement while attending a press conference held in Colombo.
He has further mentioned that the problems in the Board of Directors of the Drug Regulatory Authority have been completely resolved by now.
