It is reported that a meeting of the representatives of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and other parties representing the ruling party has been held at the Presidential Secretariat under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
SM MP Chandrasena mentioned that much attention was paid to the presidential election in this discussion.
It is reported that Member of Parliament Rohitha Abeygunawardena said that in order to get the support of Podujana Peramuna as a presidential candidate, the President was asked to start negotiations with the party leadership.
